How much does it cost to build a custom home?
The cost can vary considerably depending on the type, size and style of home. However it is reasonable to expect the cost to be between $125 and $150 dollars a sq.ft. This does not include the cost of the lot. However many clients choose to build homes that exceed this number.
What if I have another home to sell?

What builder should I use?
There are many excellent builders in the valley. Darrin knows which ones have experience building in the foothills and working with the associated engineers, architects and designers.
How long does it take to build a home in Quail Ridge?
The time frame is about the same as other areas with a comparable home. This means anywhere from 5-8 months. The length of time is determined by the overall complexity of the project. This time frame does not include the design time.
Is the soil stable in Quail Ridge?
The short answer is yes. The majority of Quail Ridge is built on cut (not fill); also the soil is comprised of decomposed granite. This equates to a very high compaction rate (solid footing). To get a professional opinion please contact your soils engineer.
Is there extensive cost to excavate?
No. Compared to other foothills lots Quail Ridge is a bargain. Given the stability and composition of the soil there is comparatively little cost involved in excavating for your home. This can be one of those hidden costs associated with other foothills developments. Make sure and always ask this question before you consider buying in any area.
